NO FAILURE, ONLY FEEDBACK

Much of NLP is based on the so-called Presuppositions. These are a series of statements about how we look at our world. Although at first they may seem a little strange, you are likely to find it helpful to act as if they are true. Why not try this one out?

"There is no failure, only feedback."

How liberating would it be to know that whatever you did, whatever you tried, it wouldn't be wrong, you wouldn't ever have failed? Instead, you would just have learned something new that better informed your next attempt.

NLP is an attitude. It's about looking at your life differently, about assessing how things are, how you want them to be and then deciding what you need to do to move from one place to the other. Thomas Edison had that attitude, although he lived long before the NLP was formulated. It is said to have taken him over 1000 attempts to invent the electric light bulb. Instead of seeing each of the first 999+ as "failures" he saw them as a learning opportunity, a chance to put things right and to do better next time. He used them as feedback.

Why not try this in your own life? Why beat yourself up about failing at something when it is up to you to define the rules in the first place. Next time something doesn't work out first time, take it on the chin, look at what you need to do differently and simply do it again. Nothing has changed except your attitude - but believe me, everything will feel very different.

I can honestly say that this one small phrase made an enormous difference in my own life. It caused a radical mindshift and enabled me to see all sorts of possibilities, to see stepping stones where I used to see stumbling blocks. Try it on for size in your own life - you'll be amazed at the results.

Well it's been a busy few weeks for us.....
We've recently spent three weeks in North Yorkshire with Master Trainers Dr.Susi Strang and Craig Wood.

Since we've been back, we've been hard at work, improving our website, planning our course programme for 2011 and generally promoting our business.

We are both passionate about what NLP can do and we can't wait to bring the benefits of it to other medics. Check the website soon for course dates - or better still, log on now to register your interest and we'll contact you as new course dates become available.
